Following their successful partnership Which allowed Russia and Saudi Arabia to successfully control the oil market, the two countries are now looking into extending their cooperation to new areas. President Putin’s keen interest in the LNG last year had heated up the market, and had drawn the Saudi giant Aramco’s attention to Novatek PJSC’s $ 20 Billion Arctic LNG – 2 project. The Russian Minister of Energy Novak and the Saudi Minister of Energy al – Falih have both expressed the two countries’ avid for continuing cooperation and their wish for this to set precedent for other partnerships. Other projects in talks for further collaboration include two nuclear plants. – Bloomberg
